Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has become a father. He celebrates this with, over its lifetime, donating 99 percent of their shares in Facebook to charity.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, he and his wife Priscilla have become parents of a little girl named Max.
“Priscilla and I am so overjoyed to welcome our daughter Max welcomed into this world,”
writes Zuckerberg on his Facebook page.
With the advertising has the entrepreneur far by a letter to his little daughter, in which he writes that he wishes that she will grow up in a better world than the one we have now.
“Dear Max. Your mother and I have yet words to describe the hope you give us for the future. Your life is full of potential, and we hope you will be happy and healthy so you can explore it fully. You have already given us a reason to reflect on the society we live in, “writes Zuckerberg started by letter.
Facebook founder and his wife’s pregnancy has long been known in the media, and Priscilla Chan Zuckerberg has repeatedly been depicted with growing belly.
“We want to do our part to create a better world for all children. We will in our lives give away 99 percent of our Facebook shares, with a value of 45 billion dollars at present. We will join others in improving the world for the next generation, “writes Zuckerberg in his letter to her daughter.
The letter is – of course – posted on Facebook.
The philanthropic project has Facebook founder and his wife decided to call “the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative”.
Furthermore, in the letter he rattles up a variety of purposes, he believes it should focus on the future, including renewable energy and combating poverty.
This is not the first time Zuckerberg has shown a charitable side: A few years ago he started a project to ensure the internet to the entire world population. He was then with several others on the team and has since been working to collect money for the project.
“Technology can not solve the world’s problems alone. To build a better world, we must build a strong and healthy society, “writes Facebook founder in the letter to her daughter.
Thanks for your support
Right at the end of post thank Zuckerberg for the support he and his wife experienced during pregnancy.
“Thanks to everyone in this community for their love and support during pregnancy. You have given us hope that together we can build a better world for Max and all other children. ”
More information about the new foundation and Zuckerberg-family charitable work will come next, and both Facebook founder himself and his wife will work actively on this during their parental leave, he informs.
So far, 164,160 people pressed “like” the post, among them the wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Melinda.
After just half an hour has over 14,000 users commented and wished the little family congratulations.
