Apple recalls chargers


Did you buy the iPhone between October 2009 and September 2012 may be flammable.

Often it is not original chargers that are associated with risk of fire, but now Apple has issued a recall of the original charger that came with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

In other words: You bought an iPhone between October 2009 and September 2012 you can now get switched charger to another without cost.

According to the website of Apple, they have in fact found some very rare cases of overheating in these chargers that allow them now to replace them with new ones.

To see if it applies to you

The affected units have model number A1300 (the new ones have A1400), which you can find by looking at the small print right over the prongs on the charger. In addition, the letters CE filled with gray color, and not only an outline:


Apple also encourages owners of A1300 chargers to stop using it and also charge via the USB port until they have been replaced.


Replaced by dealer

This can be done through an authorized dealer. Also operators who cooperate with Apple will be able to help you with effect from 18 June.
